re hidden comic: it is interesting to note that in many sci-fi plots robots cannot express joy or attachment, yet are very able to feel the emotions of exclusion and bitterness. the main comic echoes this by again showing that the mechanical man is “man” enough to experience envy of experience. Anthropomorphism on a bizaree techno-futuristic level, this comic demonstrates the creative man’s inability to avoid humanizing its subject. ASP does this deliberately and efficiently (in three panels of story and one panel of gloss) by evoking the popular sci-fi convention of the emoting machine in the vein of HAL of 2001, the androids from Bladerunner, and the ship from Flight of the Navigator. bravo to you sirs

alt text is a Sunsetriders reference? I loved that arcade.
My favorite arcade game. Anything where you have to run on top of a stampede to survive is fine by me.
Sunset Riders = pure awesomeness.
