Actually, it’s a variant of a Queen Angel, so it IS a marine fish.
I suggest for comic and ichthyological accuracy, you consider using a brackish Scatophagus Argus (green Scat or Red/Ruby spotted Scat) or a ‘Mono’ or small green Puffer. They prefer brackish water where fresh water from major rivers (jokingly called “fresh” to anything that isn’t mutant or dead) mix with the salt water of the marine world.
The fish do just as fine in 100% fresh as they do 100% salt (meaning ocean water, not a container with nothing but 100% sodium chloride… but rather, about .9% NaCl + 99.1% H2O) – and while stressful, they can actually be moved from one environment to the other, without acclimation if circumstances require it.
Fully grown, the first two species fit nicely on Texas Toast – and if properly fried, their bone are small and chewable, though I’d recommend the removal of the dorsal and caudal fins unless you enjoy oral acupuncture with venom.
