Actually, it’s not just on the stapler, it’s on his arm, the pencil sharpener/orb thing, and even under the picture frame. I think it was the silver lining.. During the concept of her being barren, they show the silver-lining. when the moment has passed, the silver-lining is gone. What’s the silver-lining to her being barren? well, you can spread all the seed you want on her field and you don’t have to worry that anything might grow.

I thought the joke was that being barren is considered a good thing in the work force, because then pregnancies can’t get in the way.
